Minecraft Joypad Mod
Written by Ljubomir Simin 2012

Modification for the Minecraft game allowing for controller input even to focusless windows.
Supports all types of controllers recognized by the system/LWJGL - should work on Windows/Linux/Mac.

Allows for multiple Minecraft instances on the same PC, effectively turning it into split-screen mode.
People have reported running up to 4 players simultaneously. Can YOU beat the record? :)

Version: 0.10
Compatibile with Minecraft v1.2.5

Installation: Like any other MC mod. Replace class files in .minecraft/bin/minecraft.jar with the provided ones and remove META-INF dir.

RECOMMENDATION: Apply this mod to a separate Minecraft installation. Package includes a .bat file to make a portable copy of Minecraft. That way it wont affect your regular copy.
Read my blog post at http://retro-hack.blogspot.com/2012/05/playing-minecraft-in-split-screen-on-pc.html

Known issues:
-not compatibile with most mods (I modify lots of classes)
-menu navigation is not optimal
-can't assign actions to axes other that camera and player movement (so can't use i.e. triggers on xbox controller)
-sometimes the player moves slightly by itself - can be fixed by increasing the controller deadzone
-sometimes the player spins around upon entering the world - moving the camera will fix it

Configuration: run once and edit .minecraft/options.txt file. Available mapping:

joyNo // number of joypad, -1 == no joypad, 0 = first joypad, 1=second joypad etc.
joyCameraAxisX // axis used for camera movement
joyCameraAxisY // axis used for camera movement
joyMovementAxisX	// axis used for player movement
joyMovementAxisY	// axis used for player movement
joyCameraSensitivity // camera sensitivity, between 1 and a few hundreds. Other values should provide funny results.
joyCameraInvertY	// invert camera Y-axis

joyCameraAxisXDeadzone	//deadzones - increase if the controls wiggle or move by themselves
joyCameraAxisYDeadzone
joyMovementAxisXDeadzone
joyMovementAxisYDeadzone

useConstantCameraMovement	//evens out camera movement in case of inconsistent FPS. May require entering the world twice for the controls to work. Enable if your sensitivity scyrockets shorlty after the game starts.

joy_joy.attack // attack. normally left mouse click
joy_joy.use // use. normally right click
joy_joy.jump // jump
joy_joy.sneak // toggle sneak
joy_joy.run // sprint
joy_joy.drop // drop one item
joy_joy.inventory	// open/close the inventory
joy_joy.interact	// interact. like right clicking but without placing blocks
joy_joy.guiLeftClick	// used for left click in inventory. might be same as attack. normally left click
joy_joy.guiRightClick // used for right click in inventory. might be same as use. normally right click
joy_joy.menu // opening the main menu
joy_joy.shiftClick	// button simulating the shift-click

In order to find out correct values for the beforementioned options you can use the utility named "Controller Test" included in this package.
You can also read the debug info in the console after running Minecraft. Read it carefully to troubleshoot the mod.
